Elementary and High School Presentations
According to the Mental Health Commission of Canada, up to seventy per cent of young adults living with mental health problems report that the symptoms started in childhood. Children who have mental health problems are more likely to become adolescents and then adults with mental health problems and illnesses.
The growing interest and concern about our children’s mental health is related to high rate of incidents of bullying, unwholesome social behaviors and negative attitudes being demonstrated among children.
In response to this growing concern, Elevated Grounds has designed a set of presentations specifically tailored to each of the Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Secondary grade levels.

- Animated Children Theatrical Production- fun characters, sing-alongs, music and dance with emphasis on healthy minds and healthy living.
- Dramatic production reflects the realities of issues confronting adolescents and youth, bullying, drugs/alcohol, suicide, toxic relationships and other self-harming behaviors.
- Interactive “talk-back’ sessions with EG youth cast share personal experiences with mental health issues. Emphasis on strategies to combat the stigma of mental illness, how to get help and build supports s dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD and other mental health issues.
- Resource materials are available to aid teachers to either prepare students for EG presentations or reinforce learning following EG presentations.
