Bio: Gloria Pierre

Gloria PierreGloria Pierre has been speaking, coaching and presenting workshops on dialect/accent reduction, presentation and interviewing skills and communication topics for seven years. She has observed that education, experience and knowledge are not enough to guarantee success in your career or business. This observation was validated through interviews and research which pointed to effective communication skills as the “extra” that’s vital.

She empowers others to speak loud enough to be heard, clear enough to be understood and confident enough to be assertive. All her workshops are informative and interactive and the vocal exercises are entertaining and immediately effective. Participants become aware of their communication challenges – like mumbling, speaking softly, talking too fast and others – and are empowered to self-correct when needed. They can use that awareness and knowledge as a competitive advantage during organizational changes and career changes.

She is the author of (K)New Words which encourages more verbal options when communicating. Gloria has been profiled on Breakfast Television and in the Metro News more than once to promote her workshops and book.

She contributed regularly to the Dish Newspaper on communication topics for high school students. She is also involved with Future Possibilities and Elevated Grounds.

Participants from her workshops, on-site training and coaching come from:

The Shopping Channel • The United Way • Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce • Free The Children • SAS Institute (Canada) Inc. • CMEC • Skills For Change

Testimonial

“Your every interaction requires communication. Education and experience are useless unless you can communicate what you know and what you want. Success does not discriminate – it’s ageless and sexless. The more skilled and effective you are in expressing yourself, the more satisfied you will be in your life. The young people in this program at Elevated Grounds can realize fulfill their dreams if they are given the tools to better articulate their thoughts. I’m thrilled to contribute to the realization of their dreams.”
