The Enemy Within (2007)

The feelings of hopelessness, fear, depression and anger combined reside within the soul of Angie. This precious teenage girl is battling with a severe lack of knowledge of self, which has kept her in a place of bondage. Consequently, this has become her habitat. Angie’s social world also contributes to the irreconcilable pain she experiences.

The negative stereotypical representation people from her ethnic background are subject to in the media justifies her loss in faith in what she is. Her mother has rejected and neglected Angie to fulfill a reckless lifestyle saturated in partying and promiscuity.

Angie is left to fend for herself in a world she sees pointless living in. Her teacher disregards her dreams and aspirations, which has left Angie’s self-esteem and self-worth in a state of destitution. Her closes friends try their very best to encourage and enlighten Angie about who she is, but their words hold no weight in her consciousness. Angie is close to death, until she experiences an awakening night where she is forced to face her fears and learn about her identity through a divine encounter. She is left to solely to battle her enemy within.
