As we enter our final rehearsals, we turn to the help of our vocal and acting coaches. They did not take it easy on us and I couldn’t have asked for less. Just when we thought we had things under control, all of our weak spots and rough edges were revealed. As a performer you have to accept and work on your faults as well as learn to take constructive criticism. If you can’t, you’re not going to move forward as a performer and will eventually burn out. What’s more, you’ll remain in the same place you started; there will be no improvement or sense of moving forward. In the end, I felt that we worked very well as a team. We supported on another, kept our composure in the late hours of the night and remembered that we had a shared goal. Next stop: Bellville!
