T’s Blog

October 21st 2009 by Elevated Grounds in Showcase

According to Sunday’s calculations, we have 20 days left till show day and 9 rehearsals left until the week of the show. That doesn’t give us much time really. BUT moving along, rehearsals have been going pretty slow. I still have to get into full character because sometimes, I get a bit confused with her. I guess this would be a good time to introduce my character, Melanie. She’s your average teenage girl. Well actually, according to what SOCIETY defines as average, I guess Mel wouldn’t really fit in to that. Average teens go to school and have a bunch of “friends” there, go to their part time job after school, involve themselves in extra curricular activities like sports teams, clubs or hanging out with friends then, they go home. Obviously they all have their side problems and what not. Mel on the other hand… yes she goes to school, she’s got SOME “friends”, definitly has a part time job but her extra curricular activities consist of taking care of her mother. Her mom is schizophrinic and Melanie is all she has. That’s just a bit about Melanie…… I gotta go to night school now. But stay tuned, I’ll be updating like there is no tomorrow.
